BDS are currently recruiting for a supported housing assistant in Mitcham. The post will be based at a retirement complex for older adults who live independently. We are looking for someone with a friendly and happy demeanour to be the first point of contact for the residents of the service. Hours are Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm or 8am to 4pm Temporary ongoing position in the first instance though could become permanent for the right person. Salary- £14.26ph PAYE plus holiday pay or cirac £18ph umbrella Main duties Speaking with the residents daily Signposting information on other services, in and around the area. Checking the property for any repairs and reporting these as required, Liaising with contractors Health and safety checks of the building Assisting residents to understand paper work, bills etc. Experience in a similar role is essential. You will have good PC skills, be approachable and have good organisation skills as well as previous experience within a housing related role.
