We are currently recruiting for a Behaviour Support Assistant to work with children and young people with challenging behaviour in a school setting in Hucknall. This role is permanent and full-time, with an immediate start date.As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support the education and development of children and young people with challenging behaviour. Your main responsibilities will include: Providing 1-2-1 support to students with challenging behaviour, using effective behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and encourage participation in learning activitiesCollaborating with teaching staff and external professionals to develop tailored learning plans for students, monitoring progress and behaviour, and reporting any concernsSupporting the social and emotional development of students, promoting self-esteem and confidenceEncouraging and motivating students to engage in learning, providing additional support where necessary Requirements: Previous experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour is essentialExcellent behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with studentsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with othersA patient and resilient attitude, with the ability to remain calm under pressure This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people ..... full job details .....
