Job Title: Youth WorkerLocation: Barton-upon-HumberWork Type: Part-time (4 hours per week)Pay Rate: £12.21 per hourOn behalf of The Viking Centre, Barton-upon-Humber, we are seeking an experienced Youth Worker to join their fun and innovative team, helping to make a difference in the lives of young people.You will be working directly with children and young people aged 8 and upwards, supporting the Youth Mentor to deliver a programme of weekly events and activities. The role is focused on inspiring, encouraging, and empowering young people to reach their full potential and become active members of the community.Key Responsibilities: Support the Youth Mentor in delivering weekly youth activities and events.Engage positively with young people to encourage participation and growth.Promote a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment. Requirements: Experience of working with young people aged 8 18.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A good understanding of the issues faced by young people in the community.Knowledge of safeguarding practices.Experience of working in a busy, dynamic environment.Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (essential due to the nature of the role).
