Youth Support Worker - Transition and Tenancy Lead
Job Introduction At Turning Point, we support people across The UK with Mental Health, Substance Misuse and Learning Disabilities. As a Youth Support Worker, you will ensure that young people living in Turning Point''s supported accommodation are supported to thrive and reach their full potential in a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment, increasing their independency to create a positive move on into the community. As a Youth Support Worker - Tenancy and Transition Lead, you will join The Lancashire Young People supported accommodation services that supports 18 young people (Aged 16- 21) across two locations in Chorley (Parker House and The Bridge). We are looking for a knowledgeable and proactive housing professional to lead on accommodation and property-related matters across the service. Role Responsibility This will be a dual role where you will work on shift supporting Young People to manage their finances, gain independent living skills, promote health, wellbeing and healthy lifestyle choices as well as supporting them to maximise their involvement in local training, education, and employment opportunities. For the other side of the role you will provide expert advice, guidance and support to colleagues on accommodation management, occupancy, licence agreements, tenancy readiness and housing benefit processes, helping to ensure young people are successfully supported to move in, supported during their placement and moved on from our services.
