The Role
Vision for Education are working with SEND schools in Cramlington to recruit a dedicated and resilient Youth Offending Officer. This full-time supply role, starting in September 2025, focuses on supporting young people with social, emotional, and behavioural needs, including those at risk of exclusion or reoffending. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to vulnerable pupils in a specialist environment. You will work closely with school staff, families, and external agencies to deliver tailored interventions, promote positive behaviour, and help young people re-engage in education and wider opportunities.
Requirements
The successful Youth Offending Officer will have:
Experience supporting children or young people with challenging behaviour, SEMH, or SEND.
Knowledge of youth justice systems and multi-agency working.
Strong communication, de-escalation, and behaviour management skills.
A caring, resilient, and consistent approach to support and safeguarding.
The ability to build trust and positive relationships with hard-to-reach young people.
