Youth Justice Case Manager Location: Birmingham Service: Youth Justice Service Job Type: Temporary / Locum About the Role We are recruiting for an experienced Youth Justice Practitioner / Case Manager to join Birmingham''s Youth Justice Service. The role is focused on delivering services that meet the individual needs of children and young people, their families and caregivers, with the aim of reducing offending and preventing reoffending. You will work across the Youth Justice Service, Birmingham Children''s Trust and wider partner agencies to ensure young people have access to appropriate and effective interventions. The service takes a restorative and trauma-informed approach, supporting young people to develop a pro-social identity, build positive futures and recover from experiences of trauma. Key Responsibilities Contribute to and participate in the work of the Youth Justice Service. Plan and implement diversion from court programmes where appropriate. Manage work arising from referral orders, referral order panels and community-based actions. Effectively manage and monitor young people progressing through the court process. Compile and present Pre-Sentence Reports (PSRs) and other reports in line with National Standards. Prepare reports for referral order panels and other relevant proceedings.
