Do not miss out on this fantastic opportunity!Responsibilities of this role:Lead, manage and supervise a multidisciplinary Youth Justice Team, ensuring high-quality service delivery to children, young people, and their families.Provide effective line management, including supervision, appraisal, performance management, and professional development of social workers and youth justice practitioners.Oversee the assessment, planning, and review of interventions for children and young people involved in the youth justice system, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, frameworks, and standards (e.g. Child First, AssetPlus, safeguarding duties).Ensure all practice promotes safeguarding, risk management, and the welfare of children, including those at risk of exploitation, reoffending, or harm to others.Drive a child-centred, trauma-informed, and restorative approach to youth justice practice, promoting desistance and positive outcomes.Monitor and manage complex, high-risk, and high-profile cases, providing guidance and oversight to ensure defensible decision-making.Ensure statutory responsibilities are met, including court reports, bail assessments, and custodial/community sentence management.Work collaboratively with key partners including police, courts, ..... full job details .....
