This is a dynamic, multi-agency service focused on preventing offending and reoffending among children and young people, with a strong commitment to a child-first approach. The Role As a Youth Justice Social Worker, you will manage a diverse caseload while taking specialist responsibility for children who are remanded in custody and subject to Looked After Children procedures. The role includes: Undertaking assessments and managing complex cases Planning and delivering targeted interventions to reduce offending Preparing high-quality reports and sentencing proposals for Court Representing the service in Court as required Working closely with victims, families, and carers to provide holistic support Collaborating within a multi-agency setting, including police, probation, and health colleagues Your work will contribute directly to the safety of victims and communities, promoting desistance through strength-based and evidence-informed practice.
