Children and Young Person''s Support Work around Gateshead / Newcastle Area 8am-8pm Day/8pm-8am Night/ Respite shifts /8am-11pm + Sleep In Within this role you will be working with children and young people in residential and community settings. You will be working with a minimum saffe staffing ratio of 2:1, ensuring the safety of a young service user, as well as safeguarding staff.For this role, you will need good attention to detail, writing detailed daily notes. This will record things such as the young person''s emotions, any interactions with staff/family members, conversations they may have, any concerns you may have, food diaries and the daily routine of the service user.This role requires you to take part in activities with the young person (ensuring receipts are kept for each transaction), help to manage their money, help with life skills, and more. You will need to be able to identify and report any safeguarding issues that may arise in relation to the young person, as well as aiding in their development and keeping them on track. Within the role you will deal with behaviour that can challenge, as well as a range of SEMH needs, and physical/learning disabilities, so experience with this would be advantageous.
