Young People's Homeless Support & Progression Officer

Ashberry recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Housing support candidate to work at a service in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. The service is ran by a well established housing organisation that provide support for Young homeless people across the UK.

Day-to-day, you would be; Monitoring the safety/security of the building/Young people, Keeping accurate logs of any contact with the service users and the times they leave & enter the service, interacting with the Young people and ensuring they feel safe-and giving them any support or advice they may need, complete any tasks given by senior members of staff or tasks that have been given on a schedule.

Service Information -

• Lone working (so must have experience in this)
• 16-18 Year olds
• Self contained flats
• Staff MUST stay on site-

What is needed

• Enhanced Child & Adult DBS-
• Experience working with young people
• Experience working in a housing support setting or a supported accomodation setting for homeless individuals
• Passion for helping people improve their lives and a drive to help people work towards living independantly.
• Experience Lone working in a supported accomodation setting.

Desirables-

• Full UK Driving license with car
• Knowledge of the benefits system
• NVQ level 3 in health & social care-
