Description

• Strong technical year end accounting knowledge, including reconciliations, accruals and prepayments, fund accounting, and deferred income
• Deep understanding of, and experience working with, Sage and Business Central
• Experience leading the technical side of year end audits, delivering evidence to auditors and responding to auditor queries
• Experience of charity accounting
• Month-end process expertise
• Comfortable preparing audit schedules and extracting reports
• Relationship managing with external auditor
• Reconciliation of control accounts, high level review for internal and external stakeholders

Profile

A successful Year End Accountant should have:

• A background in accounting or finance, with proven expertise in year-end processes.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
