Woodeaton School, located just outside Oxford, is a small and highly supportive special school for pupils withandnbsp;Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needsandnbsp;and associated conditions such as ASD and ADHD. We are seeking a resilient, flexible, and passionate teacher to join our team and support pupils transitioning intoandnbsp;Key Stage 3.
This is a unique opportunity to help shape the early secondary experience for learners who may have struggled in mainstream settings and need a different approach to thrive.
What You''ll Be Responsible For:
Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons forandnbsp;Year 7 pupils with additional needs
Building strong, trusting relationships to support emotional wellbeing and encourage positive behaviour
Delivering aandnbsp;broad and balanced curriculum, with a focus on developing literacy, numeracy, and life skills
Working closely with a multidisciplinary team including TAs, therapists, and external agencies
Using strategies such as trauma-informed practice, emotional regulation, and visual support to meet individual needs
Supporting EHCP outcomes and tracking progress using appropriate assessment frameworks
Contributing to whole-school development and enrichment opportunities
