Supply Desk is working with a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Aylesbury to appoint a dedicated Year 6 Teacher starting in January 2026.andnbsp;This is a fantastic opportunity to join an experienced team mid-year and guide a class through the crucial final months of primary education, supporting students as they build confidence and prepare for secondary school and their end-of-Key-Stage assessments.


About the Role:


  • Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons tailored to Key Stage 2 learners, with a particular focus on Year 6
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel supported, valued, and motivated to learn
  • Plan and differentiate lessons to cater to a wide range of abilities and learning styles
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, using data to inform teaching and provide constructive, timely feedback
  • Support pupils in preparing for end-of-Key-Stage assessments (SATs), helping them reach their full potential
  • Collaborate with colleagues on planning, assessment, and curriculum development to ensure consistency and high standards
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents and carers to support each childandrsquo;s academic and personal development
  • Contribute actively to the wider school community and uphold the schoolandrsquo;s values and ethos



The ideal candidate will:


  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Recent experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally with a focus on Year 6
  • Confident in delivering the national curriculum and effectively preparing pupils for SATs
  • Flexible, proactive, and responsive in adapting teaching strategies to meet pupilsandrsquo; needs
  • Strong classroom management and excellent organisational skills
  • Able to build positive and supportive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families
  • Dedicated to delivering high-quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment
