About the Role:
- Plan and deliver stimulating, age-appropriate lessons designed to meet the needs of Year 6 students.
- Confidently prepare pupils for end-of-Key Stage 2 assessments (SATs) with a balanced and supportive approach.
- Encourage independent thinking, curiosity, and a passion for learning.
- Set and uphold high standards for behaviour, academic progress, and classroom engagement.
- Recognise and provide targeted support for pupils with additional learning needs.
- Develop strong, positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Cultivate a nurturing classroom environment that celebrates effort, growth, and achievement.
The ideal candidate will:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching Key Stage 2, with a preference for Year 6.
- In-depth understanding of the Year 6 National Curriculum, especially in Maths and English.
- Skilled in planning, delivering, and assessing SATs content with confidence.
- Strong organisational, planning, and communication abilities.
- Dedicated to driving pupil progress and maintaining high educational standards.
- Possesses an enhanced DBS check and provides appropriate professional references.
