Supply Desk is partnering with a supportive and progressive primary school in Chesham to appoint a committed Year 6 Teacher for a September 2025 start. This is a fantastic opportunity to guide a class through their final year of primary education, helping pupils build confidence and achieve their full potential as they prepare for the transition to secondary school.


About the Role:


  • Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons tailored to Key Stage 2, with a particular focus on Year 6
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued, supported, and motivated to learn
  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet the varying needs and abilities of all learners
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, using data to inform teaching strategies and provide constructive feedback
  • Support pupils in preparing for end-of-Key-Stage assessments (SATs), helping them reach their full potential
  • Collaborate with colleagues on planning, assessment, and curriculum development to ensure consistency and high standards
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents and carers to support each childandrsquo;s academic and personal growth
  • Play an active role in the wider school community, contributing to its values, ethos, and ongoing development



The ideal candidate will:


  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Recent teaching experience in Key Stage 2, ideally with Year 6 pupils
  • Confident in delivering the national curriculum and supporting students in SATs preparation
  • Demonstrates a flexible, proactive, and adaptive approach to teaching and learning
  • Strong classroom management and excellent organisational skills
  • Skilled at building positive, supportive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families
  • Dedicated to delivering high-quality teaching and ensuring strong learning outcomes
