Year 6 General Teaching Assistant

A welcoming Junior School in the NG15 postcode area is seeking a committed Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join their team, starting as soon as possible.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils in Year 6 with their learning, helping them prepare for transition to secondary school while providing targeted academic and pastoral support.

• Year 6 Teaching Assistant

• Based at a Junior School in NG15

• Start ASAP

• Supporting Year 6 pupils in class and in small groups

• Assisting with core subjects such as English, Maths, and Science

• Providing 1:1 support where needed

• Supporting pupils'' social and emotional development

• Previous experience supporting upper key stage 2 pupils

• A patient, proactive, and nurturing approach

• Confidence in supporting English and Maths learning

• Ability to engage and motivate children in Year 6

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

• A welcoming and supportive school environment
