The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Year 6 Booster Teacher to join a welcoming, one-form-entry primary school in Erdington, Birmingham.

This is an excellent long-term opportunity for a dedicated primary teacher to deliver targeted English and Maths booster sessions, helping pupils close gaps in learning and achieve their full potential in preparation for their KS2 SATs.

The successful candidate will work closely with the school to raise attainment, build pupils'' confidence and ensure they are well prepared for their end-of-key-stage assessments.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted Year 6 booster sessions in English and Maths.
• Plan and deliver focused interventions to address gaps in pupils'' learning.
• Prepare pupils for KS2 SATs, covering reading, grammar, punctuation, spelling and mathematics.
• Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
• Support pupils of varying abilities to build confidence and improve attainment.
• Work collaboratively with school staff to maximise pupil progress and outcomes.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 6.
• A strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and SATs requirements.
• Experience delivering targeted interventions and supporting pupils to make progress.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A commitment to raising attainment and helping every child succeed.
