Job Description

People Dynamix Education are currently recruiting a dedicated and experienced Year 6 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with ADHD in a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Birkenhead area of Wirral.

The Role

The successful candidate will work closely with a Year 6 pupil on a one-to-one basis, providing tailored academic and emotional support to help them access the curriculum, remain engaged in learning, and prepare for the transition to secondary education.

This is a full-time role, working 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide consistent 1:1 support for a pupil with ADHD

• Support learning across the Key Stage 2 curriculum, particularly core subjects

• Implement strategies to support focus, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour

• Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals

• Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

What You Will Need

• Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND, particularly ADHD

• A good understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum

• The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils

• A calm, patient, and proactive approach

• A genuine passion for supporting children''s learning and development
