Year 5/6 Teaching Assistant - Lancaster Lancaster Area Full-Time Immediate StartVeritas Education is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school seeking a Year 5/6 Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately.This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and confident Teaching Assistant to support pupils in upper Key Stage 2, helping them prepare for the transition to secondary school while making the most of their final years in primary education.The RoleWorking closely with the class teacher, you will provide general classroom support across a Year 5/6 class, assisting pupils with their learning and helping to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.Duties will include:Supporting teaching and learning across the curriculumAssisting pupils with Maths and English activitiesWorking with small groups and individual children who require additional supportEncouraging engagement and participation in lessonsSupporting behaviour management and promoting positive choicesHelping pupils develop confidence, independence and resilienceAssisting with classroom preparation and resourcesThe Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who:Has previous experience working within a primary school settingPossesses a good knowledge of Maths and EnglishIs confident supporting pupils across Upper Key Stage 2Has strong behaviour management skillsCan build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parentsIs reliable, proactive and able to use their ..... full job details .....
