Year 5/6 Teacher - Ashton, Tameside - Full-Time | Autumn Term

For a teacher who enjoys the pace and challenge of Upper Key Stage 2 but isn''t necessarily looking for a long-term commitment, this could be the ideal role for the run-up to Christmas.

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a confident and experienced Year 5/6 Teacher to join a larger-than-average primary school in Ashon-Under-Lyne, Tameside on a full-time basis for the Autumn term. This is a short-term block booking, offering the security of regular work within one school which offers competitive pay rates and a fair work life balance.

The school is 2.5-form entry, meaning teachers benefit from working alongside year-group colleagues rather than planning in isolation. Planning responsibilities are shared across the team, with established schemes, policies and expectations already in place.

A secure knowledge and understanding of the UKS2 curriculum will be particularly important, with the teacher expected to deliver engaging lessons while maintaining high expectations for both learning and behaviour.

This role would particularly suit a teacher who:

• Has QTS and recent experience within Key Stage 2.
• Has a strong understanding of the Year 5/6 and wider UKS2 curriculum.
• Is confident with classroom and behaviour management.
• Enjoys collaborative working and shared planning responsibilities.
• Can quickly adapt to established school routines and policies.
• Is available full-time throughout the Autumn term.
• Is looking for a reliable short-term block booking until Christmas
