Year 5 Teacher

We are currently recruiting for a confident and committed Year 5 Teacher to cover a period of maternity leave at a welcoming primary school in Rochester.

This is a fixed-term contract, working 3 days per week, and would suit a teacher who is confident taking full ownership of their class and delivering high-quality teaching.

The successful Year 5 Teacher will have full responsibility for their class, including:

• Planning and preparing lessons across the curriculum

• Delivering engaging and effective teaching

• Managing the classroom and maintaining high expectations

• Assessing and monitoring pupil progress

• Differentiating work to meet individual needs

• Completing relevant planning, assessment and marking

• Working closely with school staff to ensure consistency throughout the maternity cover period

• Taking full day-to-day responsibility for the Year 5 class

• QTS is required

• Previous primary teaching experience, ideally within Year 5/KS2

• Confident with independent planning and classroom management

• Strong organisational and communication skills

• Able to commit to 3 days per week

• Driver preferred due to the school''s location

• Willing to commit to the duration of the fixed-term maternity cover
