We are delighted to support a well-regarded primary school in the St Albans area in appointing a Class Teacher for Year 5 (Maternity Cover), starting January 2026. St AlbansPay: MPS3 to MPS6The Role You will lead one of the Year 5 classes during the maternity absence and deliver high-quality teaching across the curriculum. You should be creative, enthusiastic, and committed to the highest standards of pupil wellbeing and academic achievement. You will work with the existing Year 5 team to maintain consistency, coherence, and continuity of learning, helping to further develop and refine the curriculum as needed.About You You will be an excellent teacher with experience (or a strong ability) in KS2, ideally having taught Year 5 or equivalent years. You should be committed to ongoing professional development, able to collaborate with colleagues, and ready to take on the challenge of shaping learning outcomes.
