Year 5 SEND HLTA - Druids Heath, BirminghamWe are currently looking for an experienced and confident SEND HLTA to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Druids Heath, Birmingham, supporting pupils within a Year 5 class.The class has a high percentage of pupils with additional needs, and the school is looking for someone with strong experience in SEND support, learning interventions and behaviour management.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HLTA or Teaching Assistant who is confident working with pupils who require additional support and can build positive relationships while maintaining clear and consistent boundaries.The Role Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs within a mainstream Year 5 classroom Delivering targeted learning and SEND interventions Taking individual pupils or small groups out of class for focused intervention sessions Supporting pupils with their academic development and confidence Delivering behavioural and emotional regulation interventions Helping pupils develop strategies to manage behaviour and engage positively with learning Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to identify and respond to individual needs Supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom Helping to create a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to the teaching teamThe Ideal Candidate Previous experience working as an HLTA, Senior Teaching Assistant or experienced ..... full job details .....
