Year 5 Maternity Cover

Coba Education is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher for a full-time maternity cover position at a welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Northampton. The role will begin in September 2025 and continue through to February-2026.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the full classroom teaching role, including planning, preparation, delivery, and marking in accordance with the national curriculum. You''ll be joining a supportive team with excellent leadership and a collaborative ethos.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach a full-time Year 5 class, ensuring high standards of learning and progress.
• Plan engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the curriculum.
• Mark work and provide regular feedback to support pupil development.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Liaise effectively with teaching assistants, senior leaders, and parents/carers.
• Attend relevant staff meetings, CPD sessions, and school events.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Previous experience teaching KS2, ideally Year 5.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• A positive, proactive, and flexible attitude.
• An ability to foster strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
