About the role and school

Teach Plus is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Class Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Slough from November 2026, following the October half-term. This full-time Year 5 Class Teacher position is an excellent opportunity for a passionate primary teacher looking to make a positive impact on pupils'' learning, progress and development in Key Stage 2. The successful Year 5 Class Teacher will deliver engaging lessons, promote a positive learning environment and support pupils as they prepare for the transition into Year 6.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across the Year 5 curriculum, ensuring pupils make consistent progress in their learning.
• Assess, monitor and evaluate pupil progress, using assessment information to inform future planning and identify areas for development.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes effective learning, positive behaviour and pupil independence.
• Deliver high-quality teaching in core subjects, including English and Mathematics, alongside a broad range of foundation subjects.
• Differentiate teaching and learning activities to support pupils with varying abilities, including those with additional learning needs and those working at greater depth.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, senior leaders and parents to support pupil achievement, wellbeing and personal development.

Qualifications/Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant qualification
• Experience as a Year 5 Class Teacher or in a similar role
• Strong subject/curriculum knowledge relevant to the role
• Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
• Right to work in the UK
