We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Class Teacher to join a friendly and supportive team at a small, community-focused primary school in Harrow. As a two-form entry school rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, they pride themselves on fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child is encouraged to thrive.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5

• A strong understanding of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies

• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

• A commitment to high expectations for all pupils and a belief in their potential

• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team

• Clear and effective communication with parents, colleagues, and pupils

Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging and differentiated lessons for a Year 5 class

• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel safe, valued and motivated

• Work closely with the parallel class teacher and year group team to plan and moderate

• Contribute to school life through staff meetings, events and collaborative planning

• Monitor and support pupil progress, ensuring that all learners are challenged and supported

• Build strong relationships with parents and carers to support pupil learning and wellbeing
