Role Responsibilities - Upper KS2 Teacher

As an Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 4, Year 5, and Year 6 curriculum

  • Prepare pupils for Key Stage 2 SATs and support academic progress

  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil attainment and development

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

  • Support pupils'' transition to secondary education

  • Contribute to curriculum planning and enrichment activities

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school leadership

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Upper KS2 Teacher committed to delivering excellent teaching and supporting pupil success.



Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2 (Year 4, Year 5, or Year 6), or strong readiness to step into the role

  • Good understanding of the KS2 National Curriculum and SATs preparation

  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills

  • Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Right to work in the UK



Desirable

  • Experience preparing pupils for KS2 SATs

  • Ability to deliver engaging and creative lessons

  • Commitment to professional development and teamwork
