Year 4 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Are you a patient, resilient, and passionate teaching assistant with experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis? We are looking for a skilled 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Year 4 at a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Wirral.

This is a highly rewarding role working closely with a child who requires additional support with their learning and social development. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the KS2 curriculum and proven experience in providing 1:1 support tailored to individual needs.

About the Role:

• Supporting a Year 4 pupil with SEND on a 1:1 basis
• Assisting with academic tasks in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
• Supporting emotional and behavioural needs, promoting self-confidence and independence
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCO to implement individual learning plans-
• Providing regular feedback to staff and parents on progress and behaviour
• Creating a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience working 1:1 with a pupil with SEND
• Strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Calm, patient, and nurturing approach
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents
• A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
