The Role - Year 3 Teaching Assistant

As a Year 3 Teaching Assistant, you will be working within a specialist SEMH unit in a primary school, supporting a pupil who is joining the provision and requires consistent 1:1 support. You will play a key role in helping the child settle into the unit, manage their behaviour, and engage positively with learning. The ideal candidate will be patient, resilient and confident in managing challenging behaviour, using de-escalation techniques and building strong relationships. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to support the pupil''s emotional and academic development.
