Job Title: Year 3 Class Teacher (Maternity Cover) Part Time Location: Southport, Merseyside Start Date: May 2026 Contract Type: Maternity Cover (Part-Time, 3 Days per Week)About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 3 Class Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team from May 2026 to cover a period of maternity leave. This is a part-time role for three days per week, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher looking to develop their skills in a Key Stage 2 setting.Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons for a Year 3 class in line with the National Curriculum.Create a positive, supportive, and stimulating learning environment.Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress.Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to support pupils learning and wellbeing.Contribute to the wider life of the school. The Ideal Candidate Will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).Have experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 1 (Year 3 experience desirable but not essential).Be passionate about inspiring young learners and supporting their academic and personal development.Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills.Be a team player who is willing to contribute positively to the school community.
