Are you a caring and committed Year 3 Teacher ready to make a real impact as children transition into Key Stage 2? A friendly, well-resourced school in Bedgrove, Aylesbury is looking for an enthusiastic and reflective teacher to join their Lower Key Stage 2 team, guiding pupils through this exciting next stage of their primary education.

We welcome applications from both full-time and part-time teachers who are passionate about building on strong KS1 foundations and helping pupils flourish academically and emotionally.

• Planning and delivering creative, engaging lessons aligned with the Year 3 national curriculum

• Supporting pupils’ progress in core subjects, particularly English and maths, while promoting independence and critical thinking

• Developing reading fluency and comprehension through high-quality texts and structured reading approaches

• Creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where every child is encouraged to thrive

• Working closely with teaching assistants, colleagues, and families to meet pupils’ academic and emotional needs

• Using effective assessment to track progress and inform next steps in learning

• Contributing to wider school life, enrichment opportunities, and a positive team culture

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 or readiness to step into a Year 3 teaching role with confidence

• Sound understanding of the KS2 curriculum and progression from KS1

• Strong grasp of foundational skills in maths and English

• Positive, calm and organised approach to classroom management

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
