Key Responsibilities of a Year 3 Teacher
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons aligned with the Year 3 curriculum
- Create an inclusive classroom where every child feels valued and supported
- Maintain high expectations for learning, progress, and behaviour
- Assess pupil progress regularly and communicate effectively with families
- Work closely with colleagues and play an active role in the wider life of the school
Year 3 Teacher Requirements
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - PGCE or equivalent
- Have experience teaching in KS2 (ideally Year 3), though ECTs are encouraged to apply
- Bring energy, creativity, and strong classroom management skills
- Be reflective, organised, and committed to continuous improvement
- Enjoy working as part of a collaborative and caring staff team
