Year 2 Teacher

Are you a passionate Year 2 teacher looking to make a lasting difference in a high achieiving educational setting?

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 teacher to join a supportive team of primary teachers from September within a large, popular school in the Peterborough area. This is a rewarding opportunity for a Year 2 teacher who is committed to supporting children.

This is a part-time post, 3 days per week, Wednesday to Friday. This role has risen due to maternity cover and will finish at the end of July 2026.

Located in Peterborough, the school provides a nurturing, inclusive and highly personalised learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop academically, socially and emotionally. The successful Year 2 teacher will play a key role in helping young learners build confidence, communication skills and independence while celebrating every achievement along the way.

About the role

• Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality teaching
• Work collaboratively within the Key Stage 1 team
• Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment
• Plan and deliver engaging, enriching and inclusive learning opportunities
• Build strong relationships with pupils and parents
