Supply Desk is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Milton Keynes from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to make a positive impact in the Key Stage 1 phase, specifically supporting the development of Year 2 learners as they prepare for the end of KS1 assessments.
About the Role:
Deliver engaging and structured lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum, with a specific focus on Year 2 outcomes.
Set clear objectives and monitor progress to support all pupils in reaching their potential.
Create a safe and stimulating learning environment that fosters independence and confidence.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan, assess, and adapt learning strategies for individual needs.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have recent experience teaching in primary schools, ideally within KS1 or Year 2.
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - applications from unqualified teachers with relevant experience are also welcome.
Be a confident classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management skills.
Demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and a proactive attitude.
Be committed to the ongoing development of themselves and their pupils.
