Year 2 SEN Teaching Assistant

Your new companyDesian Education are proud to be supporting a single-form entry primary school in Runcorn that is easily accessible via public transport as they require an experienced and motivated teaching assistant to join their team on a full-time temporary basis. This school are considering a permanent appointment for the new academic year for the right individual.Your new roleAs a teaching assistant within this school you will be joining a year 2 class, working in collaboration with an experienced and supportive class teacher. In your role you will be supporting a new pupil of the school on a 1:1 basis. The male pupil you will advocate for is an extremely loving individual but due to EAL and a cognitive delay they have been struggling to integrate. You will act as their main point of contact throughout the day, meeting them at the school gate and walking them back to their grown-up at the end of the day. You will offer tailored comprehensive support by:Supporting cognitive developmentPlanning and delivering specific ESOL and communication interventions including phonicsPositive behaviour supportIntegrating into new pupil groupsWhat you need to succeedFull "Right to Work" in the UKExperience supporting SEN.
