We are seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Scunthorpe from September 2026. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for a teacher who is confident delivering the Key Stage 1 curriculum and has a strong understanding of Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised. About the Role Full-time Year 1 class teacher position Long-term placement beginning September 2026 Deliver engaging and creative lessons across the KS1 curriculum Support pupils as they transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1 Deliver high-quality phonics teaching using the Little Wandle programme Assess and track pupil progress, identifying interventions where needed Create a positive classroom culture where every child can thrive The Ideal Candidate Will Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, preferably Year 1 Strong knowledge of Little Wandle phonics A good understanding of supporting pupils with SEN Effective classroom and behaviour management strategies Excellent communication and organisational skills A child-centred approach to teaching and learning What You''ll Receive Competitive rates of pay from £140 per day A full-time, long-term teaching role Support from a dedicated education consultant Opportunity to work within a welcoming school ..... full job details .....
