Contract: Long-term (Full academic year potential)

Are you a passionate KS1 specialist looking for your next long-term role in a supportive Birmingham primary school? Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a vibrant, one-form entry school in Birmingham to find a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join their team after the Easter break.

The Role:
As a Year 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for transitioning pupils from Reception into more formal learning. The school is looking for someone who can deliver engaging, phonics-rich lessons while maintaining a nurturing classroom environment.

• Full teaching responsibilities: Planning, marking, and assessment.
• Phonics focus: Leading daily sessions (Little Wandle/Read Write Inc experience is a plus).
• Collaborative planning: Working closely with the parallel Year 1 teacher to share resources and ideas.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven experience teaching in KS1 (Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply!).
• A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and Phonics screening requirements.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
