Year 1 Primary Teacher - Stafford - Long Term Cover Role - Start Date: After Easter Term

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 1 Primary Teacher to join a welcoming, established school in the heart of Stafford on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to get stuck-in teaching a Year 1 class within a supportive and collaborative primary school environment.

The school has been rated "Outstanding" by Ofsted and is a highly reputable school for it''s supportive leadership team, inclusive ethos and the deep commitment to not only pupil progress but all staff development and wellbeing. You''ll be working as part of a friendly and welcoming team who will work alongside you in ensuring you feel supported in creating a positive and worthwhile learning environment.

The Role includes:

• Full Year 1 Primary Teacher teaching responsibilities.
• Planning, delivering and assessing engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum for all learners.
• The ability to quickly create a positive and welcoming learning environment for all learners.
• Working well alongside colleagues, support staff and leadership.

What we are looking for:

• An experienced Key Stage 1 teacher, who is committed to supporting pupils during the early stages of their primary school journeys.
• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills; the candidate will be confident in managing behaviour effectively, establishing clear routines, and fostering a calm and purposeful classroom atmosphere.
• Have a genuine passion for supporting pupils'' academic and personal development.
• Somebody who is able to jump straight in; able to build strong, trusting relationships with staff, pupils and parents.
• The ability to plan engaging, enriching lessons in line with schools planning policies and National Curriculum.
• You will be working on a temporary basis, supporting one of our partner schools teaching a Year 1 class. This role will be until the end of the academic year.
• Somebody who holds or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS.

Pay: -130 - -169 a day (dependent on experience) holiday pay is included in the day rate. The pay will be negotiated dependent upon how much responsibility you are expected to take on - e.g., there may be scope to increase the pay rate.
