A well-regarded 2-form entry primary school in Ealing Broadway is seeking a Year 1 Teacher to join their Key Stage 1 team from January 2027 until July 2027, with the possibility of the role extending beyond the initial contract.

The Role
The successful candidate will:
- Teach a Year 1 class from January 2027
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Deliver high-quality phonics teaching and early reading provision
- Support pupils'' progress across reading, writing, mathematics, and the wider curriculum
- Use assessment effectively to identify next steps in learning
- Work collaboratively with the parallel Year 1 teacher and wider KS1 team
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
Requirements
The school is looking for a teacher who:
- Holds UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 1
- Has a secure understanding of phonics and the KS1 curriculum
- Maintains high expectations for behaviour and achievement
- Has strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Works effectively as part of a team
