About the Company

NEOS Engineering are working with a well-established and highly respected plant hire business with a strong UK presence. Known for their operational standards and investment in both equipment and people, they are continuing to grow and are now looking to bring in a Yard Person to support their busy depot.

The Role

This is a key, hands-on role within the yard, ensuring equipment is organised, prepared and ready to go out to customers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining yard stock and ensuring equipment is stored correctly
• Supporting monthly stock checks with the Depot Manager
• Checking lorries in and out, ensuring correct equipment and fleet numbers
• Loading and unloading company and third-party vehicles
• Assisting stores with parts deliveries
• Supporting PDI fitters with correct attachments and machine prep
• Learning and assisting with PDI procedures where required
• Keeping the yard clean, organised and safe at all times
• Managing general housekeeping (bins, skips, oil spills, waste etc.)
• Carrying out daily checks on oils, waste, containers and safety equipment
• Supporting and maintaining high Health & Safety standards

This is an active role where you’ll be on your feet most of the day and working closely with multiple departments.

The Candidate

• Basic knowledge of plant equipment
• Previous yard or construction environment experience (ideal)
• Telehandler licence (preferred)
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• A driven, reliable and accountable individual
• Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and develop
• Comfortable using IT systems and contributing to process improvements
