Yard /Quality Operator

Job Overview

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Yard/Quality Operative to join a busy automotive operation based in Rochester. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring vehicles meet quality standards before progressing through the operational process.

• Carry out quality control inspections on vehicles in line with company standards
• Identify and report any defects, damages, or inconsistencies
• Complete inspection checklists accurately and efficiently
• Ensure all vehicles are processed within required timeframes
• Work closely with operational and yard teams to maintain workflow
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations at all times

• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills
• Basic knowledge of vehicles (preferred but not essential)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

• Competitive hourly rate (-12.71 - -13.50)
• Consistent daytime working hours
• Monday to Friday schedule (no weekends)

• PPE may be required and will be provided where necessary
• Previous QC or automotive experience is advantageous but not essential as training can be provided
