Yard OperativeLocation: Northampton Pay Rate: £12.71 per hourPosition Type: Temporary to Permanent Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 18:00 (Overtime available at weekends)Job Purpose:As a Yard Operative, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of the production factory and yard. You will be responsible for managing incoming raw materials, organising the yard layout, and ensuring that heavy, high-value stone goods are handled safely and efficiently to keep production moving smoothly. Key ResponsibilitiesLoading and unloading deliveries and collections safely and efficientlyMoving stock, materials and products around the yard using appropriate equipmentChecking deliveries against paperwork and reporting any discrepancies or damagesMaintaining cleanliness and organisation of the yard and storage areasAssisting with stock control and inventory checksEnsuring all materials are stored safely and correctlyOperating machinery and equipment where authorised and trained to do soSupporting warehouse, production or installation teams when requiredFollowing all company Health and Safety procedures and site rulesReporting hazards, accidents or equipment faults promptlyAssisting customers, drivers and suppliers in a professional mannerCarrying out general labouring and manual handling duties as requiredSkills and Experience RequiredPrevious experience in a yard, warehouse, manufacturing or logistics environment preferredGood understanding of Health and Safety ..... full job details .....
