About the Role
Pertemps Edinburgh Contracts is recruiting a Yard Operative in Coatbridge (ML5) on a temporary-to-permanent, full-time basis. This role requires 45 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, with winter shifts from 6am-3.45pm and summer from 7am-4.45pm, paying £13.80 per hour with overtime at time and a half or double time. Location: Coatbridge(ML5)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
Salary: £13.80 per hour
Overtime will be available, paid at time and a half/ double time
Work Schedule: Full-Time, 45 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Winter hours: 6am-3.45pm
Summer hours: 7am-4.45pm
Responsibilities:
· Loading and unloading of mats and other materials
· General yard duties including housekeeping and organisation
· Assisting with the movement and storage of stock within the yard
· Operating basic yard equipment in a safe manner
· Following site health & safety procedures at all times
· Supporting wider yard operations as required
Essential Skills:
· Previous yard operative experience preferable but not essential
· Physically fit with the ability to carry out manual tasks, including lifting and carrying.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Reliable with a strong work ethic.
· Good teamwork skills and a proactive attitude.
