Yard Operative

Overview We are recruiting 3x General Labourers to join a busy recycling facility. This is a hands-on, physical role that involves working on a picking line and maintaining the yard area. The role starts on a temporary basis with the opportunity to go permanent. Key Responsibilities Work on the recycling picking line, sorting a variety of materials (wood, plastics, metals, cardboard, etc.). Carry out yard duties, including cleaning, sweeping, and general site maintenance. Perform manual handling and lifting tasks safely. Follow all health and safety procedures and wear required PPE. Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily targets. Requirements Previous experience in labouring, yard work, or recycling preferred but not essential. Physically fit and able to work long 10-hour shifts. Must have own transport due to site location. Full UK Driving Licence required. Must provide S3 safety boots (steel toe and midsole protection). Reliable, punctual, and willing to work in all weather conditions. What We Offer Temp to Perm role with long-term opportunity. £12.21 per hour (same pay once permanent).
