Yard Operative

My client based in Derby is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Operative to join the team on a temp basis, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and organised yard environment while supporting daily operational activities including loading, unloading, stock handling etc

Working Monday-Friday 07:00-17:00 paying -13.28 per hour weekly pay

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
• Cleaning and sanitising foot baths
• litter picking
• Cleaning and jet washing yard
• Sweeping and mopping
• Moving and organising stock within the yard
• Maintaining cleanliness and general upkeep of the yard and site
• Assisting customers with product collection
• Conducting regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
• Supporting other departments as required

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or similar environment preferred
• Good understanding of health and safety practices
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude
