Yard Operative

My client is looking for a Yard Operative based at their depot in Solihull. For the role of the Yard Operative you will play an key role in the smooth and efficient running of the depot. It will be your job to prepare the equipment to ensure that it is clean and ready for customers to hire. Your duties will include: Assist the Depot Engineers with the preparation, kitting, and de-kitting of equipment for projects. Load and unload company vehicles and supplier lorries safely and securely, ensuring correct weight distribution. Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on equipment, checking for visible damage and ensuring all components are present. Clean and carry out basic maintenance on equipment, cables, and accessories (e.g., coiling cables, replacing damaged plugs).
