Our client are searching for a Yard Operative the role of a Yard Operative (building merchant) involves a variety of tasks to ensure smooth operations within the yard and warehouse. Key responsibilities include: Duties include: Advising and assisting customers with their purchasesLoading and unloading vehiclesAssembling orders for collection or deliveryChecking customer orders are booked out correctlyOperating plant and machinery (After training)Working to deadlinesStock managementMaintaining general cleanliness of work area Required Skills / Experience: Experience of working in a builders merchant yard or within a building trade Strong customer service approachTeam playerGreat communication skillsArticulate and numerateAble to lift reasonably heavy loads Preferred Skills: Building Product Knowledge -Timber, Bricks, Blocks, Flags, Aggregates, Lintels and Drainage ProductsFork truck licenseFull driving licenseComputer literate £14.00 dependant on experience Temp to perm ..... full job details .....
