We''re looking for a Yard Operative to join a busy timber yard and become part of a friendly team of four. This is a practical, physical role where you''ll play an important part in keeping timber moving efficiently from the yard, through the drying process and into production. What will you be doing? Your day-to-day work will include: Moving timber and board packs around the yard and into production Receiving and unloading timber deliveries Stacking and storing timber safely and correctly Checking and grading boards for defects Edging boards to the required specification Keeping board packs organised, labelled and in the correct locations Loading and unloading timber from the kilns Moving dried timber into storage or production Helping keep the yard clean, tidy and organised Carrying out daily equipment checks and following health and safety procedures What are we looking for?
