      <description>Location: Bedfordshire | Salary: 50000.00-50000.00 Annual | Type: Permanent | We have an exciting opportunity for a Yard Manager based in Bedfordshire for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis.  Summary of the Yard Manager role Salary: £50,000 - £55,000Location: Bedfordshire Type of Contract: Permanent Hours: Monday Friday 7am 5pm. (2 Saturdays a month maximum when required 7am-12pm)Responsibilities of the Yard Manager  Lead, motivate and manage all yard operatives currently 25 peopleConduct regular performance reviews and manage attendance, punctuality and holiday requestsIdentify training requirements and support employee developmentWeekly team briefingsEnsure full compliance with all company health and safety policies, procedures and statutory requirementsMonitor and audit daily and weekly forklift, plant and equipment inspectionsEnsure the yard remains clean and organised and free from hazardsOversee all loading and unloading activitiesManage daily workload allocationMaintain accurate stock recordsInvestigate and resolve stock discrepancies and implement preventative measuresOversee delivery scheduling and vehicle utilisationCoordinate with the administration and transport teamsInvestigate customer queries relating to deliveries, returns and ...</description>
