This is a hands-on role focused on the testing, repair and rewinding of AC/DC electrical motors, delivering high-quality work to customer timescales. The role includes AC/DC motor winding and rewinds, armature rewinding, hand winding, connection and testing of windings, undercutting (commutator insulation), and drop testing/bar-to-bar testing to identify faults. You may work on motors up to 20 tonnes, while maintaining workshop standards and following all H&S procedures.
